Stephen Jones on the fan 105.3

Yeah, I think Dez would have scored on that play. Not the reason we lost but definitely would have won the game for us.

Jerry Jones disappointed but not angry:

Gruden will get it wherever he goes. If Carroll can get the clause after his time in NE and with the Jets, Gruden and his Super Bowl ring will definietly get it. No. Nothing does. Romo was an accident. If not, we'd still be trotting out baseball players and proven busts like Ryan Leaf. Joey...

Jerry Jones disappointed but not angry:

Gruden isn't coming here without a Bill Parcells or Pete Carroll-like clause in his contract guaranteeing control over the roster. He probably isn't going to any team without that but for damn sure he'd insist on it here.

    Realists View

I know I'll sound like I'm defending Romo here but investing a high draft pick on a QB pays off long term but has us running in place for now. The new QB will have the same unimaginative playcalling, the same weak interior OL, and a defense that can't stop the run when everyone knows it's...

Nfl week 2/roger goodell appreciation thread

I know, I love how he sits there at the Senior Bowl and Combine with shorts and a ballcap on and times all of the players. What's that you say? Only our owner and the ghost of Al Davis does that? Kraft and his 20 year old hooker > Jerry.

Tyron Smith - signs of improvement

I drafted Poe in the 1st round for the Cowboys in that 7-round mock I do on the Spawn boards every year. DeCastro was my guy but I liked Poe as well.

Tyron Smith - signs of improvement

who he's get this week? Tambia Hall and Justin Houston? should be a good test. Travis Frederick vs Dontari Poe should be good as well.

Kiffin says Cowboys' D needs improvement

Normally I 100% agree with that but this scheme is more about Safeties covering ground. Throw in that Barry Church and Will Allen are both better going forward, I'd be willing to get creative back there.

Tampa 2 scheme is heavy zone.

Kiffin says Cowboys' D needs improvement

Zone Corners need to be disciplined and stay in their zone... plus be good in run support and sure tacklers. Less emphasis on tracking the ball. I think Scandrick is more suited for that.

Kiffin says Cowboys' D needs improvement

I wonder if we should take the fragile but ballhawking Mo Claiborne and play him at Safety and move Orlando Scandrick, who's more suited to be a Tampa 2 corner, to the RCB spot? The problem is, Claiborne would have to learn the position quick and we are too thin at CB. This is just the wrong...

Kiffin says Cowboys' D needs improvement

I'm actually not all that worried about the D. One, it was Eli and two, it's their first real game with this D.

Jerry Jones likes the fast paced Eagles

Shaw doesn't really run the spread offense. He plays smashmouth like Harbaugh. Although I would be thrilled if we got Shaw. Not sold on Strong. Before Teddy showed up they were close to firing him.
