    2016 NFL Free Agents

I like the FAs CMD but for Pete's sake can...we...get...NT...help? We have actual NFL drafted players at RB, DE, Safety, and LB but not at 1 Technique. We have a guy that was not considered draft worthy but unlike Romo, has remained not draft worthy even with experience.

    2016 NFL Free Agents

I just don't get it. The offense calls for a strong arm for deep throws in small windows, the ball cannot float or the pass will be defended or worse. But even more obvious is that if it's a timing based offense that requires passes into spaces that the WR has not even made the turn into yet...

Your top 3 and how strongly it's your top 3

Wentz, Ramsey, Goff How strange would the announcers sound if Dallas picks Jack and then somehow gets Goff.

Jerry: Tony Romo will be Cowboys QB for next 4-5 years

What did you think of Stave? He had this wrist flick cannon. His feet were not even set and he drilled the sideline outs. That's the kind of thing that Romo had and Dallas will need assuming they keep the current system of run around or be injured.

    Paranoid Zone

Good question. Speed is meaningless without being able to catch in the full radius and contested. Will Fuller used hands yesterday to catch but that's not in games so I wouldn't trust it all that much. As far as the comparisons to TWilly, Fuller is a scrappy player who shows no signs of fear...

Jerry: Tony Romo will be Cowboys QB for next 4-5 years

He seemed raw. Passes were wobbly and didn't seem to have touch to me. But what do I know.

Jerry: Tony Romo will be Cowboys QB for next 4-5 years

I think Romo is a lot more vulnerable than is being purported. 4-5 years is a bluff. Sturm was right. It's very questionable. The question is who replaces. after yesterday. Wentz is their best and then Goff. Something just seems awkward and not NFL about Paxton Lynch. Hogan is a no. He had...

Steve saying we want to re-sign both Claiborne and McClain

Tyler Patmon and Corey White would have both been solid foundational players to head into FA, the draft or season: at least they can play a little. If we upgrade them and they are depth, fine. If they have to be on the final roster at least it's better than bad. But using Claiborne and Carr as...

    Paranoid Zone

Where Cowboy fans can brandish conspiracy theories and nerve-wracking trends of the Head Coach and Front Office in peace. Conspiracy theory: Garrett will make a case for QB Hogan because "he has the most sophisticated pre-snap reading" of all the QBs. Fits well in our outdated system (and...

Sturm believes something more is going on with Romo's injury

Parcells wanted Romo to use his mobility for first down. Garrett has Romo running to buy time for his WRs to get open. (And why aren't they open?) Parcells said Romo needs to be coached in order to keep disciplined and smart with his choices. Garrett has Romo coaching himself, calling off...

    Watching Lynch. Rather Wentz.

Sturm believes something more is going on with Romo's injury

Or preventing possible rebreaks should include thought and strategy and plays that decrease the possibility to get hammered like Romo does.

Greg Rosenthal Free Agent Primer- Top 99

Hahaha. Jobberone just warned one poster at the Zone to "stay on topic" when the poster criticized Garrett's coaching ability in a thread that criticizes Garrett's coaching ability in the Rant Zone meant to allow criticism of Garretts coaching ability. But I digress. Defensive tackle and DBs...

The Garrett effect and why Nice guys finish last

It's not about Byron Jones, I'm psyched that he turned out the way he did. My issue is the apparent reasoning that goes into what they are looking for. Why would intangibles off the field matter?

The Garrett effect and why Nice guys finish last

Shopping list for Garrett's football players. 1. Good 2. Unbelievable intangibles off the field. 3. Talent. 4. Good qualities that "go with" a football related workout. I just can't believe that Stephen Jones is buying this stupidity. http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas-cowboys/print?id=4749568

Stephen Jones says Cowboys would take franchise QB over impact player

I like the argument for Carr being "well he hasn't missed a game". It's the Jason Garrett correlation that Dallas is also very much impaired because "he hasn't missed a game" either.

    2016 NFL Free Agents

That's just rich. There's a report today that Dallas is pursuing resigning Claiborne (an obvious example of great scouting, great training, and a player that was essentially unofficially cut from the team because of a leg injury and a mild case of stupid) and Rolando McClain (a player who...

Sabin: Romo's heir? Why Cowboys and others are intrigued by Carson Wentz

We needed all the draft picks we could get. Think about it, late in the draft, Jason is out of picks and sees that San Diego and Minnesota (Norv) are planning on fighting on the UFDA market over a 300lb WR with one arm that Judd and Jim are pushing because he went to a baptist college and plans...

Sabin: Romo's heir? Why Cowboys and others are intrigued by Carson Wentz

Which if they keep the same scheme with no dynamic WRs other than Dez or Bease, Romo is most assuredly headed to IR next year. It's just too easy to get him and he really has very little options in the offense unless of course they decide to run the ball to protect him.
