Gosselin: Why are the Cowboys even holding on to Rolando McClain?

Jason Garrett will take over the Red Raiders when Kliff Kingsburry takes all of that Longhorn money. Double kick to the groin.

Gosselin: Why are the Cowboys even holding on to Rolando McClain?

for the Cowboys? Both are awful. for a college team? Kiffin is the better x and o's guy. Kiffin will be D1 head coach in 2017, his stint at Alabama has repaired his image enough.

Gosselin: Why are the Cowboys even holding on to Rolando McClain?

If we don't have McClain, we don't get payback for all the miscues, losses, and criticism. Right Jerry? https://twitter.com/Edwerderespn/status/417672643727196160

Gosselin: Why are the Cowboys even holding on to Rolando McClain?

I could see him being a head coach at an FCS school that would benefit from a "name". North Dakota, Montana, Austin Peay, or his Alma mater Princeton. I can't believe I'm saying this but I would take Lane Kiffin over him.

No Eugene "The Hitting Machine" Lockhart? DeMarcus Ware is an edge rusher. They need to start looping all 4-3 DE's and 3-4 OLB's into one category.

I think we would have had. That roster was loaded. Aikman is waaaaaay better but we relied on Emmitt and a great defense. I think Walsh would have gotten the job done.

Seemed foolish. Agreed, but Jimmy could do that. He could move on. This current regime sees ghosts and reaches for players and then holds onto them until they have proven beyond all reasonable doubt that they can not play at the expected level.

Ehhh, I love you like a brother...or maybe a creepy uncle... but I think that's stretching it. Jimmy made a lot of other brilliant moves. He would have just found a way to win with Steve Walsh. Aikman's impact that first year was insignificant anyway.

Yep. That leadership and Jimmy were incredibly innovative in acquiring talent. Then we get Jerry, who wants to appear innovative, but only takes chances on injuries or character concerns with zero accountability for his many failures.

I like how the people who picked Jimmy, including myself, were like "it's close" or "it's a tough call" and the Landry guys were like "YOU GUYZ ARE STUPID!!!" Objectivity - the quality of being objective. "the piece lacked any objectivity" synonyms: impartiality, absence/lack of bias...

The overall roster was pretty bad towards the end. I don't know how much of a difference Troy would have made.

He was 36-28 and made the playoffs 3 out of his 4 years. In Landry's last 4 years, he was 27-36 and made the playoffs once.

Part of his greatness. Landry and Schramm did some bamboozling as well, especially in regards to draft day trades. It's a positive in what makes them great.

How is mine not objective? Does objective mean agrees with you? It was a tough call for me. Jimmy did more in a shorter time. Landry was a legend but was awful towards the end, probably stayed in a few too many years. Love 'em both.

    1. Jimmy Johnson - this was tough. 2. Tom Landry - see above. 3. Bill Parcells - without him we are currently the Cleveland Browns. 4. BTB: Picking Jaylon Smith: How The Cowboys Made The Controversial Decision

Agree and disagree. If you're a solid team, sure. If you are a team with as many holes on defense as we have, no. Also, in a deep draft, that risk at pick 34 is foolish. The CBA comes into play now too. He's an unrestricted free agent after 4 years. We spend a year, maybe two rehabbing him, we...
