Archer - Sources: Dallas shows interest in Weeden

6th. We are handcuffed to Romo until after the 2016 season. If we draft a QB in this draft, he will sit 3 of his 4-year contract behind Romo. I understand Romo could get hurt but Orton is here another year. I'd target 2015 or more likely 2016 to draft our next QB.

Melton set for visit, interest in Peppers

I was thinking maybe alcohol related. The Schefter fake has his page set up to look exactly like the real one. I did a twitter search on Julius Peppers and saw that tweet.

Archer - Sources: Dallas shows interest in Weeden

Do not pay age. Kidding, I had a feeling we'd be interested.

Melton set for visit, interest in Peppers

Melton and Peppers would indicate the plan is still compete now. Still doesn't help me understand our mad dash to sign 3 "depth" players. Melton makes sense for the scheme. Peppers is one of my all-time favorite players so I wouldn't hate that, despite my don't-pay-age motto.

Melton set for visit, interest in Peppers

Losers • Dallas’ defensive line: The Cowboys were forced to shed salary this offseason to get under the cap, hence the release of DeMarcus Ware and decision to let Jason Hatcher walk. The money they would have spent on both may be put to better use elsewhere. Unfortunately, because of those...

    What’s the strategy?

I know but I believe in Romo. I thought if we upgraded at FS and D Line, we'd have a small chance. I should have known better.

    What’s the strategy?

I wanted us to try to improve and take one last shot at getting Ware, Witten, and Romo a ring. I'm okay with the financially motivated decision to cut Ware and I wanted no part of Hatcher and Spencer returning. What I do not understand is rushing out and signing these hacks that most likely...

    Hatcher signs with Redskins

I don't think we're signing Melton. He's in Minnesota and now staying another day. Plus, we are cutting into our limited cap room with randoms.

    What’s the strategy?

I expected the worse and Jerry surpassed it.

    What’s the strategy?

We are going to have some awesome kickoff return teams and super special 4th quarter depth. Once the game is in hand, Mincey and McClain are going to terrorize other teams' back-up O Linemen. Starting Defense just isn't as important as back-up defense and Special Teams.

    What’s the strategy?

We just "added' Will Herring. A linebacker from the Saints. A 30-year old with 10 career starts in 7 years.

    Hypothetically...

At this point, I'd probably let Garrett finish out year but no way he's brought back. I'd let the whole scouting staff go right now. I'd probably consult with Jimmy Johnson a lot. I'd try to put together the best scouting staff that 1) Jerry's money can buy, 2) are young and aggressive, and...

    What’s the strategy?

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys took up only $1.1 million in salary-cap space with their deals to new defensive linemen Jeremy Mincey and Terrell McClain. Mincey will count $1.25 million against the cap in 2014, and McClain will count $850,000. According to NFL Players Association...

    What’s the strategy?

Do teams usually sign players on the 2nd day of Free Agency for millions of dollars that they don't plan being on the roster just a few months later? I mean besides us.
