DMN: Former Cowboys TE Martellus Bennett says he 'always hated' Jason Witten

If only the Cowboys knew what they had in Witten when they drafted Bennett in the 2nd round. Oh wait... He's a goofy bastard but a talented tight end. The Cowboys wanted to go 2 TE and never figured out how to get the most out of him. Even Romo couldn't get the timing right for jump balls with...

Foles signs with KC. We're pursuing McCown

The Cowboys are always (at least) a year away from fixing obvious problems. The O Line was killing Romo for years , they finally did something about it, throwing 3 first round picks at the problem. Everyone told them they need a talented RB to replace Murray's production and they claimed...

George: Why I'd never put an expiration date on Cowboys TE Jason Witten

Witten 2016 - $6.5M base salary + 2.112M prorated bonus = $8.612M cap hit 2017 - $7.4M base salary + 2.112M prorated bonus = $9.512M cap hit If he retired or was cut after this year, it would free up $7.4M in cap room for 2017. My guess is he takes a paycut or they restructure. He'll get some...

    Saints pursuing trade for Leary

Leary is not as valuable as many of you homers like to believe. We'd be getting over in that trade.

    The never-ending POTUS Election Tracker....

It was a mistake, she was talking about raising taxes on the rich. She said that "Trump wants to cut taxes for the super-rich" and then said "Well we’re not going there, my friends. I’m telling you right now, we’re going to write fairer rules for the middle class and we are going to raise taxes...

You can't keep neglecting the defense with your main resources of talent addition and then expect it to play at an acceptable level. Free agency? Cedric Thornton was an upgrade over Hayden but who the hell isn't and why did it take you so long to figure out? Benson Mayowa is not an upgrade...

Randy Gregory fails yet ANOTHER drug test

When you mix codeine and sprite it turns purple. Listen to almost any rapper from the south and they have probably mentioned in at least one of their songs. It's called Purple Drank or Sizzurp. McClain was already out for 10. They are saying the reason he didn't report to camp is because he's...

    Update your pet cats

Obviously Elliott is what makes or break this draft class. I'm intrigued by Darius Jackson and Rico Gathers. Maybe Kavon Frazier too but this scouting department/coaching staff liking a safety is the kiss of death. I think Tapper is a serviceable guy, he's Jeremy Mincey at best. I do not like...

If only there was time period, maybe we could call it the off-season, where teams could address obvious and glaring holes in their line-up. That way they would not have to work out guys who aren't part of the 2,880 best football players in the world, aka guys on the 90-man rosters of the 32...

JJT: DeMarcus Lawrence vows to learn from mistakes after drug ban

Not what I did. Lawrence on his own is not a big deal. It's the constant gambles that have help turn this defense into a dumpster fire and kept this organization out of Super Bowls for 20 years. This team does not have the structure to handle the "character issues" guys.
