Report: Owners made “significant concession” on rookie wage scale

Your answer is in your own article that you just posted: “The NFL wants to artificially inflate the percentage of incremental revenue going to players by excluding revenues that never go to players,” NFLPA spokesman George Atallah said. “League officials … have been selling a lockout to owners...

Report: Owners made “significant concession” on rookie wage scale

They've been fine with 50 (actually 49 percent) since February.. and they waited it out and got 48 percent. The owners on the other hand wanted over 50 percent PLUS 2 billion off the top. Now they've backtracked to nothing off the top and giving the players 48 percent. Skew the data however...

Report: Owners made “significant concession” on rookie wage scale

The players never received anywhere near 70 percent of the total revenue. I just told you what the facts were, if you don't believe them that's your call.

Report: Owners made “significant concession” on rookie wage scale

Ok.. you're wrong again. Actually, to be completely accurate the players have been ok with 49 percent of all revenues since friggin February. Also, in 2006 the players received 52.74 percent of total revenues, in 2007, they received 51.84 percent total, and in 2009, they received 50.06 percent...

Report: Owners made “significant concession” on rookie wage scale

The players wanted 50 percent to start with. The owners wanted to give them much less than that PLUS take an extra billiion or two off the top of total revenues. We ended up at the players getting 48 percent. Win for players. The players have also been saying since February that they would...

Report: Owners made “significant concession” on rookie wage scale

Really tough to swallow when you thought something was going to work out one way, and it is working out the complete opposite way isn't it big guy? Don't cry.. the owners are doing what they should do and we're gonna have football! lol

Report: Owners made “significant concession” on rookie wage scale

The owners are the ones making all the big concessions by all reports so far. The players at this point are getting pretty close to what they originally wanted anyway. D. Smith isn't such a huge idiot after all.. imagine that.

    LOL@The Redskins

lol I was just about to ask you that.. "What do you think his motivation was?" Doesn't take a genius to figure it out if you look at his track record. But there were 14 seconds left when they punted, around 9 left when he actually picked up the ball after it bounced around and time expired when...

Maybe you should watch the play again then, because time was expired before he even began to run horizontally.. not to mention he kept going across the entire field of play before he ran in from the one yard line.

    LOL@The Redskins

Put a capable safety to shadow him over the top and he should be effectively taken out of the game. Teams were able to start to do this last season.. and that's why he was so inconsistent.
