More greatness from Eberflus (and Whitecotton, whom I assume has something to do with the DL rotation)
We're SOFT.
A famous coach who won a bunch of Super Bowls and was considered a defensive mastermind said "Good players cannot overcome bad coaching, it's impossible"
Although we all saw it happen in the 1995 season. But those were GREAT players and we don't have those. Or very many good ones either.A famous coach who won a bunch of Super Bowls and was considered a defensive mastermind said "Good players cannot overcome bad coaching, it's impossible"
breaks? its shattered into a million bitsThis........and I can't say that we have good players but they're good enough to not be dead last in the NFL. Eberflus has lost the D. And part of it is because guys like Diggs are not buying into the scheme. A good coach would pivot and do what his players do well. But sometimes coaches are so entrenched in their philosophy that they can't pivot. This D is a replay of Marinelli and Nolan and even Zimmer. It's a bend and don't break scheme that's ok.....until it breaks.
They also had all of Jimmy's assistants still there. Switzer was an utter clown, but he just stood around. Eventually his cancerous ways combined with dumbshit GM torpedoed the team but in 1995, there was still enough great players AND really good assistants on the staff (for the most part).Although we all saw it happen in the 1995 season. He got the fewest snaps of any of the DE's. Even Clowney (who has been terrible and old) got more.Speaking of which, where was Houston today? Total no-show.
