Barbara Jordan, a black, female member of congress and key member of Bill Clinton's committee on immigration reform state very clearly so everyone can understand. Illegal immigrants are generally unskilled workers who come here and take the jobs of many American unskilled workers. The illegals work of the books and for less money lowering the wages of other unskilled workers. As Jordan put it, illegal aliens hurt the very people that need help the most, particularly minorities living in urban areas.
As far as illegal alien crime is concerned, the myth is that illegals commit less crimes that American citizens. This is an outright fabrication. The reason is that many liberals states do not capture statistics based on citizenship status. Just like they refuse to ask voters if they are citizens, they refuse to tally criminals based on legal status as well. Hence, we have no idea how many crimes are committed by illegals but we can be certain it is more than what the Democrats are claiming.

But arrogant liberal Democrats are sure that they can pull it off because they are just smarter than everyone else who has tried it.
I find it interesting that when applying for entry into America applicants are asked if they have now or ever had an allegiance to communism or other totalitarian system. A yes answer could mean denial of entry into the country. I don't know when this question was added to the application but it tells me our forefathers understood that communism and socialism are both forms of government inconsistent with the concepts of our constitution. We are a nation where liberty is the founding principle. Socialism and communism are inconsistent with our constitution because they both require all people to be under the control of government.
If people don't like the freedom, liberty, and opportunity that America provides, then why the hell do they come here?
