Dez Bryant's debut will have to wait for the Sept. 12 season opener at Washington.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said before Wednesday's Kickoff Luncheon at Cowboys Stadium that Bryant will not play Thursday against Miami in part because the first-team offense will not play.

Bryant returned to practice on Tuesday for the first time since suffering a high right ankle sprain on July 30 at San Antonio. Wide receivers coach Ray Sherman said Bryant looked good in practice but his conditioning needs work.

I mean I don't want to rush him back, but I would be excited as hell to see him suit up again and play.

I would have too, but with our luck of losing good players he'd probably tear his acl. Let him sit. This is like what Campo did playing Galloway in the 4th quarter during a blowout.

I went undrafted again and Roy Williams is pretty lucky. I can do his job easy.

Wade has said several times he wasn't planning on having Dez play. And Jerry is also the General Manager.

And if Dez were to play and get injured, you'd be complaing about Jerry on that issue for having him play.
