Ho hum. Another week and yet another "one for the ages" complete embarrassment.

It never ceases to amaze what new and sensational ways this Clownboys team can invent to lose on a week to week basis. Just when you think you have seen it all, they come through with more epic ways to FAIL. The Dallas Cowboys are the epitome of LOSERS. The ownership. The FO. The coaches and a lot of the players. Losing is what they are all about and they have perfected it.

For the rest of the season, The Day After Thoughts may become The Several Days After Thoughts, as I'm making no effort to watch these games live any further. Some weekends I may not even get around to it until Sunday night or Monday at the earliest now. It's nauseating to watch and we all know the ultimate outcomes anyway.

1) Schottenheimer has sealed it up, he is hands down the worst HC in the league and I don't think anyone is really close either. I think he's also by far the worst HC we've ever had, which is aying something with the likes of Switzer, Gailey, Campo, Wade, Redheaded Goober and Fat Man ahead of him. Just a horrendously prepared team again and his playcalling was possibly the worst it's ever been. Stale, extremely vanilla game-planning and play designs. Kudos for trying to stick to the run, but after you've been stoned 25 or 30 times you have to move on to something else, especially when you have a WR trio that's as good as any in the league. Started out horrible from the opening drive with the OL getting zero push whatsoever and a failed 4th and 1ft or so conversion, and continued the entire game. Sounds like privately many players questioned the offensive game plan and playcalling.

2) After a splendid performance on the road in Philly against a better front 7, the OL turned in their worst performance of the season a week later against a horrendous Cardinals defense. Run blocking was atrocious and the pass protection was shoddy at best. They ran 65 plays v Philly and didnt allow a sack or TFL, they ran 68 vs Arizona and gave up 4 sacks and 8 TFL's. Hideous performance by all of them, but Steele was dreadful and got owned by a one legged DE who had been terrible in almost every game this yr.

3) Pretty lousy performance by Prescott. Yeah the playcalling was terrible, but he is an 11 yr starter who is constantly praised for "getting the Cowboys out of bad plays and into good ones" and he did NONE of that v Arizona. He is either being told not to or has no fucking idea what he is looking at and doesn't know what to do. Regardless, he's had plenty of time to do something great and has done all he can. They 100% should move on after this season. At this point I actually wouldnt mind it if he got hurt and we had to play Sam Howell. I'd like to see what he could do with the starters and if he plays well enough, let him take the starter spot in 2027 as a bridge season to an early drafted QB from April.

4) This is unquestionably the worst coached defense in the history of the franchise. I don't know that I have ever seen a game with such drastic swings as what we saw from this trash team Sunday. By far the best defense we have seen all yr for 2 and 1/2 quarters, followed by some of the worst defense you could ever possibly see the remainder. Giving up nearly 300 yards and 4 tds on 4 drives at one point in the second half. Parker should have 100% been shitcanned after this, and yet he wasn't.

5) What kind of genius fucking play calling/designs have your best WR's on the bench for a key pass play-call at the end of the game? Oh that's right, the kind Brian Schottenheimer handles. Mr "I'm an elite play-caller" actually designed a pass play concept with both Lamb and Pickens on the bench (not due to injury, but intent) and it was a huge play late in the game. Of course the play failed miserably and we had to settle for another damn FG.

6) Similarly, what coach PLAYS for a 65 yd FG at the end of the half with 11 seconds and 1 timeout left from the opponent 47 yd line? Oh that's right, the same elite play caller from above. They could have easily tried to throw for 10-15 yds or so to make it a chip-shot, but instead ran the ball up the middle to settle for a 60+ yd attempt. You have a 60 million a yr QB and two of the best WR's in the league (making another combined 60 million or so) and you play for the fucking 60+ yd FG. Just fucking stupid.

7) Injuries galore, again. We may be without Downs and Locke this weekend (Lock can never stay healthy) and Porter was in and out of the lineup Sunday with his ankle stuff. Malachi Lawrence also sustained what may be a significant ankle injury and he may miss several games.

8) I don't know that we lost the game because of it, but there were some really bad calls/non-calls by this goober ref crew. Bland was called for a PI that wasnt even close to a PI. Downs was clearly blocked in the back on one of those long runs and it happened right in from f the sideline ref. Despite their OL being completely overmatched for 2 1/2 quarters and then losing their starting LT during the game, the Cards managed to not receive a single holding call. It's also frustrating to me to see almost every "spot" for us always come up somehow inches short, even when live views show the ball easily past the line to gain. There's no way they "miss" all these every damn time, and it happens nearly every game.

9) On a bad football team that finds ways to lose and fuckup beyond belief almost weekly, at some point you have to make decisions to show accountability matters. Rashan Gary has been a massive disappointment as a player. He has no crazy cap charge to worry about (last yr of a deal). He's done next to nothing on the field all season, and then at one of the worst possible times he has a horrendous roughing the passer call to turn what would have been 4th and 10 and a 46 yd FG attempt into a 1st and 10 from the Dallas 14, and the Cards would easily score 7 on the next play. Why not make a statement to the team the next day and release Gary?

10) Hey whatayaknow. Von Miller finally made a play. Only took him nearly 8 games to make one. Another guy (like Gary) that's been a massive flop. Should be released and let others take all those reps.

11) I already know it isn't going to happen, but this team should 100% be "sellers" at the trade deadline. Get the absolute best deal you can for Pickens. I'd hate to see him go, he's been great here but is completely being wasted by this dipshit coaching staff and mediocre QB now. There are several teams DESPERATE for a bigtime WR, and Pickens is absolutely a huge difference maker. Others who should be actively shopped and moved are Kevontae Turpin (expendable even if they trade Pickens, and Tyler Goodson is proving to be just as good at KO returns), Jake Ferguson (horrible season again), DaRon Bland (might have value to a contending team needing a veteran CB who can play inside or outside some), Kenny Clark (like Gary and Miller, really mediocre season and has no cap concerns with moving), TJ Bass (has real value for a team needing a proven young IOL with starting experience), Malik Hooker (probably has zero value because he sucks so bad, but at least try), Schoonmaker (ditto) and Marist Liufau (might have some late rd pick value for some contender needing LB and ST depth). Obviously Pickens and maybe Bass and/or Turpin have the most trade value, but even if it's 6th/7th rd picks for the others, it's draft capital for next yr or 2028.

Just a complete shitshow season in every way possible. Complete dumpster fire which is happening only because a stubborn and stupid owner refused to see the writing on the wall after that Green Bay playoff debacle in 2023. They could have done a full-blown rebuild then and started over with a new FO direction, new coaching staff and new QB of the future, but they chose to "run it back" again, and it got this team nothing but more bad FO decisions, one of the worst head coach and defensive coordinators (two) and a mostly washed up QB hanging around. Fans deserve better than this, it's an unserious franchise that doesn't care about winning championships and frankly deserves to be 100% abandoned by the real fans who follow the team.

I can not and will not ever get over the offensive futility with the last 27 plays of the game still in their hands.

A healthy 60 million dollar QB, 2 supposedly elite receivers, an oline with 3 first rounders and a RB fresh off a 150 yard performance a week prior.
Drumroll...
And in 27 tries this GOTI offense going up against the 21st ranked defense generates 34 yards.

That's not a typo.
30 year self professed elite playcaller and
11 year vet QB chalked up a grand total of 34 yards with their last 27 opportunities.

I can't seem to get over this and doubt I ever will.
I could care less if the dee gave up 1000 yards.
It was widely accepted the dee sucked already.

But my gosh this GOTI thing...
Un effing believable.

It's horrible coaching all the way around.

That said, you can't give up 4 td's and nearly 300 yards on 4 straight drives to a bunch of fucking scrubs.
