September 11 is always a heavy day. Even years later, the weight of this morning never really leaves us. Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the incredible bravery of the first responders who ran toward danger without a second thought.

The sad part is that most Americans forgot years ago and I'd be willing to bet the story isn't told appropriately in our education system.

Keep in mind that "America" voted for Barrack Hussein Obama just 6 years later.........

I worked on 9/11, and my days off were the following two days.

What I remember in the days beyond 9/11 was the eerie silence.

I lived about 3 miles from DFW Airport.

It was so very strange to not even see one plane taking off or arriving at that busy airport.

I remember we had to wait about 2 weeks before overhead photos of ground zero were published in the paper.

I remember seeing the giant info signs on the major roads with the message "national emergency, all air flight grounded" (or something along those lines)

I was in our office when it went down and several of us drove to the big mall down the street, we went in Sears to the electronic section and watched on the TVs. We stayed for hours, the crowds there were quite large.
