2026 NFL Preseason Thread

Third teamers look unmotivated and tired. They know what’s coming on Monday or sooner. Unimpressed with Sam Williams . We are in trouble on our offensive line if we lose anyone. We do not have quality depth. They will get Dak killed if they come into the game. We have got to find a legitimate swing tackle fast.

I actually like the interior OL depth. Bass, Leverett and Trevor Keegan all look like decent depth inside.

OT 3 is not on this roster.

Sam Howell is having a big time 2nd half, back to back TD drives and a ballsy 2pt conversion run to tie the game.

Several really good throws.

Right now has a perfect 158.3 rating. 10/11, 141 yds and 2 tds

Agree w/ Wolchuk, Howell probably played his way onto the 53.

They'll probably keep all 3 QBs now and see if someone blows them away with a legit trade offer.

How did that work out?! Demercado took the 53-man roster spot that opened up when
Milton was released. To finalize the active roster and accommodate a fourth RB, the FO made the surprise decision to waive Milton, who eventually cleared waivers and re-signed to the team's practice squad.

This is messed up. They release Milton, then bring him back. It never made sense for the Cowboys to risk losing him if they intended to bring him back. Something feels off, but "Dallas looks like geniuses now (The Landry Hat) regardless because he is, indeed, back". I like him better than Howell. If Howell was so good, why is he with his 5th team since being drafted in 2022?! Time will tell.

It obviously ended up being zero risk.

Every team in the league said they weren't interested in him, two times each. (nobody claimed him on waivers, then nobody signed him as a FA)

Milton is obviously more gifted physically and he also improved from what he was last yr. But Howell has quite a bit fo actual starting experience that Milton doesn't have. It's pretty obvious the coaches felt like in a break glass for emergency situation, Howell gives them a better chance to run the offense and win.

When we signed Howell I thought he would easily when the backup job because of that, Milton deserves credit for making it a real battle and in the end, we still get another yr to develop him now and keep him in the building. He can still be signed to the active roster whenever they want.
