Fuel ???
The two EA-18G Growlers cost a quarter of a Billion dollars together.
Indeed, fuel. The two aircrafts cost about $67 million each x 2= $134 million.
That figure is just the aircraft themselves. If you include specialized electronic warfare equipment, training, support systems, and upgrades, the real replacement value could be significantly higher.
However, when taking into account specialized electronic warfare equipment suites, top-tier configurations, and inflation, replacement costs and fully equipped variants often range between $100 million and $125 million per unit.
Far from the Billion dollars mark. Roughly speaking, military air shows in the U.S. likely burn tens of millions of gallons of jet fuel per year, costing somewhere around
$100 million–$300+ million annually depending on fuel prices and how many shows are included. But what do women know!
