Fair enough.
I will continue to support this contrast in personalities. But honestly, I will more look forward to that regular season post game loss alter ego whose detailed critical analysis is consistently some of his most accurate work and not just a bunch of negative hyperbole imo.

All I have is the offseason optimism anymore.

Sometimes I feel like a Detroit Lions fan of the past. Until recently Detroit went year after year of never sniffing the playoffs. Maybe not quite that bad but you get the idea. We will know within the first four weeks of the season if there is a sliver of hope. I will say at least the front office is operating differently in how they drafted. It seems like they have more direction and focus than they have had. Of course dbair is optimistic… so are all of us. At least we know our defense stands a chance of improving. Hard not to improve when you are ranked last. Can’t wait to see this version of the Cowboys. It will be a different team than in 2025. I think these young draft picks and new DC are going to bring some much needed energy and excitement. So yes Dbair and all of us need to be hopeful because quite frankly it could be short lived once the season starts .
