I cannot tell you how pissed off I am that this fraud situation in Minnesota is not front and center every day in the news. $9 billion. and it might be much more.
Yesterday I began preparing my 2025 tax return collecting documents and estimating my tax bill. It led me to begin preparing for my 2026 return by adjusting my tax withholdings on my newly required mandatory 401k withdrawals. Reviewing my tax requirements with the background of knowing that billions of tax dollars were stolen under the noses of Minnesota politicians, and probably with at least tacit consent, make me want to say f it! and stop paying taxes altogether. The lack of respect for us and the lack of concern for our hard work and hard earned money is maddening. I will not vote for any politician from any party that will not fight to save every penny I earn from fraud and abuse. In fact, I will vote for radicals who want to eliminate the income tax altogether so that we the people have control of of money once again.
