The last few days my X timeline is full of Democrats all complaining about Tish James' indictment for mortgage fraud. It is bizarre given the facts are clear. But what really galls me is how they claim this is a political prosecution and Trump retribution. These are the same people who continue to support a candidate, Jay Jones, who openly fantasized about shooting his political opponent in the head, and wishing his kids would get shot to so his opponent would know what it feels like. But James indicted for mortgage fraud goes too far? What hypocrites Democrats are.
But here is the thing, contrary to what Democrats say, no everyone commits mortgage fraud. I have taken 4 mortgages in my life including 1 on a rental property and not once did I lie om my applications. It is not that hard to tell the truth.
But also, James is an Attorney General. How can she prosecute mortgage fraud in NY state if she herself committed mortgage fraud and got away with it. Can you imagine the field day defense attorneys would have when they defend their clients charge with mortgage fraud by Tish James? Letting her off the hook would virtually make mortgage fraud legal in her jurisdiction.
