Security clearances should be revoked the minute they are not longer needed. Any government employee who leaves a government position where security clearance was necessary should lose that clearance when leaving the government job. The idea that people keep their access to classified information even after they leave their jobs is the silly. That goes from elected officials as well. There is no reason for example that Hillary should have kept her clearance after leaving her job as secretary of state, or Brennan after leaving his role as the head of the CIA. If millions of people have security clearance then what does it mean to have security clearance?

And of course, if you violate security policy then your clearance should be removed as well.

On the flip side, some post retirement jobs require a security clearance and retirees keep that clearance for a full 5 years. Legitimate government contractors couldn't hire qualified staff if they had to wait for backgrounds and security clearances. It would be a duplication of efforts. But once people go rogue, the clearances should absolutely be canceled.

You're not wrong. It takes a tremendous amount of patience and dealing with BS (on both sides). I can't imagine dealing with it without kids who kind of bring you back to reality. Honestly, I can't see myself being married and dealing with the BS if I didn't have kids.

The image attached was on the Smithsonian's website at one point but was pulled when people pointed out the racist absurdity. I kept a copy knowing it would quickly be forgotten or completely unknown by most. The 8 trillion stimulus package on Trumps first term gave 1 BILLION to the Smithsonian, why on earth? I wish Trump had veto'd that damn thing and forced them to pull all the nonsense out like this.

Not only is this flyer racist, it is also absurdly wrong. Our culture is not a "white culture" is it a European/Western culture that has its origins in the ancient Greek and Roman empires. It just so happens the Greeks and Romans, and the British empire that followed were mostly white. But bitching about the culture of America is myopic and racist. China has culture, as does Japan. Are those cultures wrong because they are the product of homogenous populations?
