on another note, I tried to log in while out of town (from my iPhone and iPad-both of which work fine when I'm in town) and it said my IP address was banned

any idea how to fix this so I can check in when I'm not at home?

I don't ban domestic IP addresses so no idea what's up with that. It's got to be one IK banned at some point. I do a trace on them before banning and if it's a domestic provider or domestic cell service it doesn't get banned because those IP addresses are dynamic - you never know who you've banned.
