a bennett is back in dallas at a HUGE position of need for peanuts... and he's been playing extremely well in limited snaps. taking a chance on his personality.

For a 6th or 7th round pick he’s worth a shot. If he turns out to be a dick and a team cancer then it costs us nothing

It looks like Crawford going to IR isn’t such a bad thing anymore

I don't hate this.
Bennett's got enough left to make some plays and demand attention from blockers.
He's not afraid of a microphone, though, but that's hardly unique to this franchise.
Plus he's cheap.

Yeah my initial thought was the price is right if he has anything left in the tank. I see Taco has 3 sacks already for Miami, can't make this shit up.

Worst case scenario, he washes out in a couple of games and we're out a pick that likely wouldn't have made the team anyways. Anything over that is a plus at that price.

Low cost/low risk move. He certainly could be an interior pass rush boost on obvious passing downs, and on run downs he can easily spell Quinn at RDE (Quinn has never been really strong vs the run)

Again don’t want to be repetitive but, great low risk pick up to open up something on the interior line. This may jump start D-Law . However, we need a god damn secondary , our safeties are awful. Yes , we almost pulled off a huge trade for Jamal Adams . But almost doesn’t get him in our secondary.

I didn't see it as a bad thing to begin with. The guy is an overpaid bum.

NY Post:

The NFL Network reported Sunday morning that the Jets asked for star guard Zack Martin from the Cowboys during the Jamal Adams trade talks. When told that was a non-starter, they asked for tackle Tyron Smith.

And then the Jets heard the dial tone from Stevie hanging up

trading the perpetually injured Smith (and his contract) would have been tempting, but the Fleming dropoff is too steep

Not sure if he is hurt, but he is inactive tonight. Might have been bumped by the rookie free agent Knight.
