they drafted felix because he was the changeup to barber, he was going to be the third down back and return guy. They initially said they envisioned a role for him where he was Charlie garner and that is who they compared him to.

then he gets hurt misses 75% of his rookie season and all we hear about is him bulking up to be more of an everydown back.

brilliant.

He never looked better than Noel Devine or Steve slaton.

And that begs the question. If barber is worth $50M then why did you need Felix with a first, or vice versa

That was the biggest thing that didn't make sense and I said that at the time. I was nervous about giving Barber that money, then it made even less sense when we spent a first on a back. Who else would have paid Barber anywhere near that much? noone. We bid against ourselves then compounded the problem with felix.

Selfishly, I want Gio Bernard in the 2nd. I think he's going to be a very good-to-elite back. RB just isn't a bigger priority than OL, DL, and S.

Jonathan Franklin in the 3rd or 4th has been my hope all year.

I kind of like Joseph Randle. Not flashy but solid and dependable, understands the passing game, and shouldn't cost a high pick.

Murray is pretty good -- we don't need to use a high pick on a RB.

They really over thought it. Well we got a guy with muscles, now lets get a skinny guy. Thnuder and lighting!1

I wanted to keep barber at all costs, I still think he was great for us. All set for a huge year in 09 and then that quad I jury screwed it all up.

Smash, dash and tash.....worst nickname ever.

In the fourth or fifth rounds we could land a gem. Maybe even land a UDFA.

Le'Veon Bell*, RB, Michigan State, Johnathan Franklin, RB, UCLA , Stefphon Jefferson*, RB, Nevada
