No, they lay each other out now because they think they are invincible with all their shit strapped on. Take away some of that armor, they won't be so brave.

Peeps are all like "yeah they're real men they don't wear pads". but they don't have the same collisions because they don't wear pads, and to another extent the nature of the game and the way it's played doesn't lead to head-on collisions between two people going in opposite directions that often.

But not having your head as protected will absolutely change the way you come at somebody.

No. These guys are all juiced up and in battle mode. They'll still fly around and look to truck anything that moves. They'd probably be even more sloppy in their technique and just jump at dudes.

Plus you still have the problem of multiple small hits in a game at the LOS. It's not all blindside hits which rugby doesn't have
