We couldn't pick off all kinds of shit qb's . You can't just play pussyball. You need turnovers and sacks. Our defense is just there like "hey could you get off the field guys geez almighty "

Fucking bullshit.

Id like to cut Jerry's head right the fuck off and shit on his Adam's apple.

Seriously? Ron Ryan is a problem, but Garrett is still your guy?

Go fuck your mother.

~punches baby~

really?
lol

This team. This fucking team.

Or should I say this owner and con man supreme of a HC.

I swear if I didn't know better I'd think Jerry had nuclear orange hair as a kid.

The shittiest part is that Ryan was the best coach on the entire staff. Unless we hire lovie, I think we'll regress on D again.

6-10? Yeah 6-10.

Why would Garrett release a statement suggesting it was a joint decision? How do you know the meeting didn’t take place?

I dont, although surely somebody in the media would have reported on it had it taken place.

The defense made the last mistake, dbair. And that's all that matters.

Whats the records of the teams he's been DC on? How come he hasnt had a single playoff defense, ever?

As for you statement here, yeah it matters. Not all that matters, but it matters. If you are on the field with the lead at the end of the game, and you give up the game winning drive, yeah, you are at fault. And it happened too much in his two years here.

He deserved to get fired. Frankly I'll be quite surprised if anyone in the NFL hires him as a DC this year, and maybe ever again.

It’s such a stupid argument. I am only responding to it because i am so sick of it. As if the offense has no bearing on the game. If Romo drives down the field and scores a TD, Ryan has a winning record. If Garrett doesn’t fuck up a number of games the Cowboys probably win at least 10 games these past two seasons. Who the fuck was the QBs for the Raiders and Browns? I mean, come on.

Ryan will get hired again. The next DC will become your next whipping boy. Around and round we go.

Wanna bet Ryan gets another DC job this year? I'm sure he might get a job as a position coach somewhere, but I seriously doubt anybody hires him as a DC.

As for becoming my whipping boy. If they continue to play shit defense, I'll continue to go off on them. Just like I've gone off on Garrett for the last 1/3 of this season or so because I dont think he's done a good job.

I guess it depends on your definition of deserved. Every unit on this team had major issues this season. If you want your DC to be able to plug in guys off the street and maintain a top 10 defense, then yeah I guess he failed at that.

Did he deserve to be fired more than Garrett? No way. Garrett had most of his starters in place the majority of the season and we saw just as many, if not more, issues from the offense.

Maybe the whole staff deserved to get fired. But firing Ryan and retaining Garrett? That screams scapegoat to me.

We've been shitty under 2 dc/defensive gurus. Epically bad. Do the math.

Now that I think about it, I don't think Garrett gets fired for a while. I don't think it will be next year if we just miss the playoffs. Garrett is Jerry's handpicked HC. He wants him to succeed to badly, he's going to give him every opportunity. My Jerry hate has now infested Garrett.

I agree, they should have just started over from the HC on down.

That said the defense was a failure IMO. So it makes sense to get rid of the guy who runs it. The offense is a failure too, which is why even if Garrett is retained as HC, it appears likely someone else will be running the offense and calling plays in Garrett's place. So I dont think its a "scapegoat" issue.

Yes, we gave up a lot of yards, but all things considered, giving up 22.4 points a game wasn't bad.

And as we are all well aware, gaining yards in bunches alone doesn't win games.

Yes or no: Ryan would have a job today had we defeated the Skins but lost to Seattle the following week.

It wasn't good. I just find it funny that the writers choose to harp on the yards given up while only "mentioning" the points allowed.
