When I see you say something is inappropriate you've gone from expressing how it makes you feel to declaring it wrong. Which yes, implies that you believe your personal feelings on the matter are more important than the personal feelings of the people involved, who decided to handle it "inappropriately".

Feel free to be offended for no reason but avoid passing judgement on people who are doing their best to do what they feel is right in a tough situation, IMO.

So you're saying I can question their draft picks, free agent moves, coaching decisions, and ticket prices, but not their handling of Brent?

I said what I said, not what you rephrased my statement into to try and change the subject because you have no other response.

Step up your game son this isn't 1st grade or zonestile.

Game? Pointing out the ridiculousness of your "Jerry is not be questioned!" crusade is a form of entertainment unto itself.

What's pathetic is that I am quoting you and rebutting your points while you are inventing quotes and positions for me and still sounding retarded.

someday you'll get that doorknob humped.

No, you're just engaging in a little pro-Jerry spin and unthinking hackery, which is more worthy of the Zone than DCU. Did it ever occur to you that Jerry's (gasp!) wrong?

Curious that an atheist would treat Jerry like an omniscient being.

hate to cheerlead but that always struck me as weird as well. SP is a free thinker in all things except Jerry. Generalization I know, but still.

Some people are just closet homers like every other blind monkey that loves all things Jerry.

Either way, read the articles.

1) random player invites Brent to game
2) ginger and Jerry have no idea
3) Brent "voluntarily" goes home once the adults find out

The people in this thread trying to paint this as some public showing of solidarity, and a loving family decision to heal together with Brent, clearly were talking out of their ass.

lol

Really, like this was some grand organizational plan in support of Brent... When like you say, the truth is that the players asked him to come to the sideline and neither RJ nor Jerry even seemed to know until later.

Which makes you wonder, who is in charge of who gets to stand on the sideline?

Should Josh Brent Have Been On The Dallas Sideline?

The First Take panel debates whether the Cowboys should have let Josh Brent on the sideline during Sunday's game.
IRVING, Texas -- As people debate whether Josh Brent should have been on the Dallas Cowboys' sideline Sunday, his appearance was something of a surprise to team officials.

More From ESPN.com
The Cowboys sent the wrong message by allowing Josh Brent to be present on their sideline during a nationally televised game, writes Dan Graziano. Blog

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and coach Jason Garrett were unaware of Brent's attendance until the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was about to begin, a source said Monday.

A source said Brent came to the game at the urging of his teammates, who followed the wishes of Jerry Brown's mother, Stacey Jackson. Since Brent is on the non-football injury list, he can attend any team function.

When Brent became aware that his appearance was causing a debate, he left in the second half.

After the game, Jones publicly stated that the Cowboys supported Brent's presence on the sideline.

"Our team and our players wanted him today on the sideline," Jones said following Dallas' 27-24 victory. "Jerry's mother asked us directly as a group. She said, 'Support him. Help him. He needs your help. Jerry wants that. I want that.' His teammates asked him to come and be down there with them, and that's where we are.

"I do know that certainly that there's the other side of the coin, but this is a case that the people that arguably he's the closest to really wanting him around for him."

At the memorial service for her son, Jackson told the players to care for Brent and keep him involved with the team as much as they can. The organization has expressed support for Brent since the accident, while making it known that it does not condoning drunken driving.

It is not clear whether Brent will continue to attend home games, but if he does, it could be in a more discreet way.

Christ, even Brent knew he was in the wrong, which is why he skedaddled. That puts him one up on Jerry.
