How would you align our base D in a 43 front?

I think that was the plan anyway. I don't think his signing dictates that. I think we were planning on more 4-3 alignments anyways.

they will be ends just like they are now when we play that over look.

I think we will see some 4 man fronts but lemon, carter and connor can play the spots in the base 3-4

I agree with Theebs, they arnt putting Ware and Spencer as OLB's in a base 4-3 set.

They arnt changing to a 4-3 defense in the middle of the season anyway.

I think you are right in that.

Broaddus speculated this morning that we will see 4-3 type looks with ware standing up as the 5th rusher.

he mentioned we could have a big set with both ratliff and brent inside and hatcher and coleman outside.

but there is also a rush look like we see in nickel situations with ware-hatcher-ratliff-spencer...

it should be interesting. the idea of a 4 man line with hatcher, ratliff, brent and spencer with ware standing up and conner and carter is intruiging.

guess we will find out sunday.

The only positive in this injury - and it's a reach - is that we knew about it early in the week, so it'll give Ryan time to be creative and to implement fronts, most of which the Giants hopefully wouldn't have seen before or been able to prepare for.

But really, that's a reach even at that.

I think that big look could be possibly a different take on our 34 base, thats all.

the nickle and odd aligments will be what they always were with a committee replacing lee.

I hate on rg3 as much as anyone. I'm still not sold. However, that Fucker Shanny knows how go build a rush attack. That skins run game is serious

We've been showing more and more 4-3 lately, plus the rumors tahtw e would have taken Bobby Wagner in the 2nd and I think that is/was the plan all along.

I'm a huge 3-4 fan but I really want us to consider a full time move to a 4-3 and here's why:
*I think more beef up front will help us again the run.
*2 DT's in front of Sean Lee is going to make him even more dangerous.
*I don't want to see Ware in coverage as much as he is. 4-3 RDE's occasionally drop back into covergae but not as much as a 3-4 ROLB. (generally)
*A 4-3 actually helps out a strong safety some. You can get away with playing more of a run support guy.
*Easier to let Spencer walk. 4-3 Linebackers are usually cheaper than 3-4 OLB's.

Some good points CMD.

For me it boils down to one thing. We have more pass rushing depth at DL than we do at OLB. Especially if you keep ware at OLB, then it just gets overmatched and it isn't even a discussion. This league is all about rushing the passer these days.
