Felix or DeMarco, who gets the bulk of carries?

Reading other forums, there seems to be an ongoing debate on who should be the starter, or get the carries.

There's some dude on CZ that has been trying to convince anyone that will listen, that Felix is the back that makes the offense go. This guy I'm talking about spent most of the last few years trying to convince the same people that Newman was a great corner still too.

I'm not too sure how any of you feel about the two backs, or who you guys think will/should start, so I'll start with my opinion, and you guys can chime in.

I'm thinking it's gunna be Murray. I've seen the arguments for Felix, but the following stat leads me to believe it's going to be Murray getting 20+ touches, provided he stays healthy.

Tony Romo has a QB rating of 112.10, and the Cowboys are 5-0 when Murray touches the ball 20 times.

Imo, that stat above has to weigh heavily on coaching staffs decision(if there's even a question), even more than the body of work that Murray put together. Even more than the 200+ yard performance.

Pretty much.

The most encouraging thing about Murray was his ability to handle a 20 carry workload was also still being able to finish the game strong.

It was this ability that finally allowed us to see a Jason Garrett that would actually commit to the run and bring balance to the offense. For that reason, I want Murray to continue to get his 20 carries and let Jones get his here and there.

FJ will probably get a lot of carries during all the times that Murray is injured this year.

But when they're both healthy and active, I would expect Murray to get most of the carries.

The violence of the sport is on your side. Durable running backs get hurt at some point in a 16 game schedule touching the ball 20-30 times a game. The other running backs get killed.

Felix is too fragile to get the bulk.

I like a solid mixture either way.

bigger question is who will be available to get more carries.

last year even choice was getting banged up before he was cut.

come november this question could be completely irrelevant.

I dont believe in felix to stay healthy at all he just seems to always fall and get tackled akwardly and get hurt....and murray we will find out about.

I've never been a Felix fan I wanted cj, rice, or mendenhall but I think we should use up felix while we have him

I'm not advocating he take touches away from the better player, Im just saying let's see what he's got before he's doing it w/ someone else. Special teams, slot WR, etc. get your mileage in before the lease is up
