damn sprinkler guys cut my internet line!

anyway, just wanted to point out something that everyone breaks my balls about all the time...

in the past week I have heard two people say you need 4 corners and 3 safeties....

Brad Sham and Babe Laufenberg.

which goes to show once again, there are only a handful of people who really know anything about whats really going on with the team.

all the rest of these guys are chasing rainbows.

oh and I really like this. Its a bummer about 45 but man given some of the misses we have had in the 2nd I think if claiborne is really good none of us will care when the season starts.

and for what its worth, when I heard mo on the fan right after being picked he sounded almost identical to the way demarcus ware sounded in 05. Seems like a great kid with a ton of talent.

we now have hopefully an upper level player in the secondary, an upper level player in the middle in lee and two upper level players on the front with ratliff and ware. I dont know how good we will be this year, but we have in place something to really build on.

Jerome henderson, mo, carr and poole. That should make the secondary much better. And I heard rex ryan one time say i can scheme and coach the front 7 to stop the run and create a rush, I cant scheme my corners to run with the athletes at wr and that is why we want so many corners....I have a feeling rob feels the same.

I'd like to see us get rid of Jenkins. Hopefully the days of drafting players who should be working at McDonald's/Burger King/selling drugs are over.

Honestly, I want us to keep jenkins. I think it will be a good thing to have 4 very good corners. no reason to weaken a really strong area now.

Just let him walk next year and take a shot with all of them this year.

We need a better player up front on the line still, but if we cant get one this weekend maybe a vet falls to us in the summer who can help for a year or two...

Good thoughts.

I do think it's clear to all by now that you sodomize a Babe blowup doll regularly though.

I'd like to trade him for a 4th and get a player that will be around longer than a year.

Plus I don't like him anyway.

Makes zero sense to trade Jenkins for a 5th or 6th. Let him play the year out.

Scandrick is far from being very good by the way

Trading Jenkins depends on 2 things:

1. His character
2. What you can get for him

His value is low, so I'm not a fan of just giving him away.

But if you think his character is such that he's going to be a team cancer, or pout about getting demoted, etc.... then I don't want him on the roster.

Lets not forget, Drew Rosenhouse is his agent. No way is he going to take this sitting down.

He's got low character from what I've observed, especially with Drew Rosenhaus as his agent. That guy needs to be blackballed from the league.

We need to ship him out of here.

For what its worth. Watkins said today that he has a great attitude and is always very honest about his play. There would be no reason for him not to play his heart out this year. He is playing for a big time contract

Trading him for nothing makes this trade a little more tough to take. I like the trade, but if we give away Jenkins for nothing. What exactly did we accomplish in the grand scheme of the draft

Yeah there is potential for a big comp pick from him and spencer next year.

which is why I wont be so opposed to them going back up to do something today. Both jenkins and spencer could bring big picks next year.

thats fair, I am gay for babe. he is simply the smartest analyst I have ever listened to covering the nfl. He also knows the dallas Cowboys better than anyone outside of the coaching staff. It holds true every year.

I like Jenkins a lot. I'm going to hate seeing him leave. Be it this year or next.

Assuming we don't sign anyone in free agency ourselves.

yeah that is always the trade off. but if both spencer and jenkins were to leave, they will get big deals and bring us back possibly 3rd rounders.

but I dont think spencer is going anywhere.

Not necessarily. Depends on what we sign back in FA. For instance, if he'd have walked this year and we gave Carr what we did, it would have been a push. No pick.

Thinking today if we would have been better rolling the dice trading down a bit and drafting Decastro and taking a shot on Janoris Jenkins in round 2. Maybe picking up another 3rd in the process

Just a thought.

love claiborne though

All of this conversation today means zero until we see what happens today
