The safety position has been a big problem area in Dallas for many years now. Gerald Sensabaugh is a serviceable starter but the spot opposite him is a mess and must be upgraded. Texas might as well be known as "Defensive Back U" considering all of the cornerbacks and safeties the program has produced and Kenny Vaccaro will help to carry on that proud tradition. A well-rounded player who is a factor in both coverage and run support, Vaccaro enjoyed an excellent senior season for the Longhorns and possesses the tools to start at either free or strong safety at the next level. This local product would would finally address the Cowboys issues at safety once and for all. Dallas could also stand to upgrade on the interior of their offensive line so if Alabama OG Chance Warmack was still available that would almost be a no-brainer. Keep an eye on offensive tackle too since there is some chatter that Doug Free could become a cap casualty in the offseason. Due to the unfortunate Josh Brent situation a nose tackle could now be part of the conversation as well. Don’t completely rule out a wide receiver either since Miles Austin can’t seem to stay healthy and enigmatic problem child Dez Bryant might be down to his final strike in " Big D "

My only problem with the pick is that Vaccaro isn't good

OG Travis Bond of UNC is an interesting prospect. Slid over to OT once Brennan Williams went out with his injury. Graded higher than Cooper in a few games.
