Jernigan was supposed to be a speedster and ended up a 4.51 on his first attempt.

Julio looked a lot slower than he ran but hey

Hankerson ran two mid 4.4s and he looks like he's just gliding down the lane.

Then you have other guys who look like they're burning down the lane with a lot of upper body movement and they end up with 4.5s and 4.6s.

Sterling Sharpe just said there will only be one wideout drafted in the first round.

There's next to no chance that's happening.

lol Two of them will be gone by the top 15 picks. Green top 5 and Jones no later than 15.

Jake Locker runs a blazing 4.52 in the 40
Posted by Michael David Smith on February 27, 2011, 11:09 AM EST
If Jake Locker can’t improve his passing accuracy, maybe he should move to another position. He’s fast enough to play wide receiver.

Locker ran the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine this morning, which means he’s faster than just about every quarterback in the NFL and faster than quite a few receivers, running backs and defensive backs as well.

According to the Seattle Times, Locker’s time is the fourth-fastest for a quarterback at the Combine in the last five years.

So we know Locker is really fast. What we don’t know is whether he’s an NFL-quality passer.

A.J. Green, Julio Jones crank up the speed in Indy
Posted by Mike Florio on February 27, 2011, 9:58 AM EST
The players regard as the top two wideouts on the board solidified their positions on Sunday.

Georgia receiver A.J. Green ran, unofficially, a 4.48 and then a 4.51.

Alabama’s Julio Jones cranked out a 4.43, and then an eye-popping 4.39.

The fastest time came from Abilene Christian’s Edmund Gates, who covered 120 feet in 4.35 seconds. But Jones ability to outrun Green could shake things up at receiver.

Just saw on NFL network that Rob Ryan was pumping his fists for Paea right after that lift.
