I'm surprised Ginger hasn't gone into full damage control and started throwing McFadden, Cassel and Linehan under the bus yet. That'll be the next phase of this.

At his core he is a coward, so all the under the bus throwing will go on behind closed doors.

Aside from quoting yourself, for weeks now the defense has been keeping the score of the games within just one solid TD series away from Dallas winning. But then when the Dallas offense fails to produce anything but a few FGs and one sundry TD, the defense gets the heat for the loss. The offense is not scoring points, period.

You're right. But the fact of the matter is, this defense can't get a stop when they have to. Washington scored at the end of both halves. We've lost 2 games in OT without even touching the ball. The offense is horrible and carries most of the blame. But with this defense does it really matter if we lose 13-10 or 35-34? They can't close things out.

Oh, woah woah woah. No. I missed this before.

What's happening is, offenses are being extremely conservative against us, because they KNOW we can't do shit to them offensively. Then when they need either a FG or a TD to finish us off? They. Get. What. They. Need. Each and every time. It's the rope-a-dope. Let's not delude ourselves into thinking this defense is any good, it's not. We can't rush the passer, can't stop the run and sure as hell can't cover, with this Legion of Boobs secondary.

Not getting the turnovers? Same thing - offenses aren't having to match us score for score, don't have to worry about hanging 30 or 40 on us to win, so they are taking FAR FEWER chances with the ball!

No man - yes the offense sucks, but that's the whole reason these games are typically close. Teams simply keep shit close to the vest and rope-a-dope us until they NEED something. Then they simply go get what they need, without fail. Because the D sucks too. Think we'll have any pro bowlers from it? No, because the entire rest of the league knows it sucks.

Then, he's not right. You just said he is right then completely contradicted him. We can't get the stops when the other team NEEDS something to close the deal.
