    Agree on the football intelligence factor. But I still think he has the potential to play in the league as a productive player, though I am not sure I ever see him being a Probowl guy.

    What's never happened before? Him being a decent CB? Other than injury, he had a solid year last year. Not spectacular, but solid.

    A lot of it is the offensive line and the talent around him, which is perfect place for a young QB to learn. I am still not sure if I would roll with him as the primary backup until he gets a season under his belt, but I am feeling better about the QB depth than I have in several years.

    Jaylon Smith is a generational talent. He is really good and can rush the passer. I am a lifelong ND fan and he is the best Irish linebacker I have ever seen. That being said, we need guys who can play this year and while I like the player, I don't like the round.
