Okay, it wasn't really a serious question. It's a dumb argument to say that a QB can magically make a receiver be where he needs to be to get open and then magically catch it when it's thrown.

Robinson is a scrub..spencer isnt good enough..

Not good enough > Scrub

8million (let alone 9+) >>>> Not good enough >> scrub

I'm sorry sunshine, where did I say Anthony Spencer was any good? You're propping up a shitty idea w/ your worse idea.

We have 9 good players. The rest are interchangeable. History bears this out when our guys hit FA and are forced out if the league or never produce

Okay.

But what I'm saying is, paying Spencer to be warm body on defense is more stoopider than paying Robinson to be a point producing scrub.

I think it's easier to find a meh WR(Donald driver) after June 1st cuts then an C+ OLB

I'm not a fan of either player, I wouldn't have tagged either. But wr's grow on trees. Believe it or not the production at olb could get worse

I'll bet you $100 that Spencer's forgotten more about OLB than Sheik has over learned. You wanna take that bet?

That's what I figured.

Too bad the franchise tag wasn't placed on a player that could have been worth it(Robinson), that would have been nice.

Almost 10 mil for a #3? No thank you. I'm no huge Spencer fan, but at least he's solid. And a starter.

Toss up between Coale and "not yet on the list". But since we don't know who that may be if anyone, I went with Coale. The rest are jags that we'll be lucky if any make any significant contribution.

Without using tackles running back, what is Spencer good at?

Cant use the word "almost" either.

Somebody at CZ did alot of homework on this, but name all the 3-4 strongside OLB's better than Spencer.

And no, I am not proclaiming he is great or the long term answer. But the numbers show Spencer rates pretty high there.

Were you spearheading the Laurent Robinson fan club at this time last year?

Im not trying to avoid the question, but Spencer is a jag. He's just another SOLB that can easily be replaced if you don't care about sacks.

Any way you spin it, he doesn't sack the QB enough. He also doesn't chase the QB into Ware enough.

way easier. Especially when your QB is Tony Romo.

People just listen to me and MB4 on this. Spencer, for all his average-ness is way more valuable to this team and harder to replace than Robinson. If I had to pick, it would be Spencer every time.

Maybe we should have let both walk, but again, that leaves us either needing to draft an OLB or giving another scrub a long term contract. All bad options.

There's no doubt about it.

Well yeah.

Dallas freakin cowboys!! Wut Wut. Recognize greatness when you see it.

the point is Tony Romo is a kingmaker. If it wasn't Robinson it just would have been someone else, or a few someone else's.

No long-term deal for Spencer. Add another OLB to pair with Wilber to compete for his SOLB spot in '13.

And Romo makes anyone good. If he can get Dez Bryant's retarded ass to recognize the soft spot in a zone, see against Washington, I think we'll be fine with some no-name receiver...for now. I say that because noone knew who Laurent Robinson was until he hooked up with Romo.

Coale is going to be that potential name.

Just read somewhere that the Cowboys timed him at 4.37.

I always distrust team and pro-day 40s then I wonder why. It's not like there is incentive to lie.
