Cut for Charles Brown a former 2nd round pick of New Orleans. Well, it's not official yet.

Didn't see this mentioned on here, but Darrion Weems was cut yesterday. Good riddance.

And.....he's back.

The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly waived running back Gus Johnson and re-signed offensive tackleDarrion Weems.
According to ESPN's Todd Archer, the former SFA running back has been relieved of his practice team duties while the 'Boys have assigned Weems to take his practice squad spot.
Johnson was the 2014 SLC Player of the Year and a four-time All-American for the Lumberjacks out of the Southland Conference in Texas. He rushed for a total of 3,892 yards and 51 touchdowns in his four-year collegiate career.
Johnson made a name for himself in the NFL with the Cowboys this preseason by his physical play and running style. He led the Cowboys with 139 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 37 carries. However, it wasn't enough for him to make the 53-man roster and he wound up on the practice squad.

Weems was recently waived on Tuesday to make room for swing tackle Charles Brown. Weems signed with the Cowboys in 2012 after multiple practice squad stints. He hasn't seen action in an NFL game yet, but has been a backup for the Cowboys for several years.
