Offense

QB - underachievers both looking to get over the hump
Both teams pouring their resources on skill position players offensively.
Both teams have terrible offensive lines that continue to be neglected

Defense

Now we are running the exact same defensive scheme the bears are running.
Granted, the bears defense is way better than ours.

A lot of similarities between the two teams..

It doesn't make me excited to know that the team we resemble the most is the Chicago Bears

Im not ready for the disaster that this season has upon us.

Romo is considerably better than Cutler. Not even close IMO.

And I dont' think the bears defense is much better than ours. They're more opportunistic... especially Tillman. But they played worse as the year went on.

Romo is way better than Cutler.. At least given both players current situation. Give Cutler a stud line and that might change, maybe. Romo handles pressure much better than Cutler.

Bears defense is way better than ours. Are you nuts?

For one game last year Romo wasn't better than Cutler. It was embarrassingly worse.

The Bears kicker plays a more physical game than any player the Cowboys have on the roster. Dallas is a soft in both the physical and mental part of the game. The Bears will knock your ass off. Big difference between these teams.

That is the biggest difference. Good point

Still though. Bears aren't good. So it's not promising that we are mirroring those guys..intentionally or not

why did we lose so badly to a team that's our mirror image?

How about give Romo a stud offensive line

All in all, the approach the team took this offseason was all wrong.

Fire Ryan after an injury riddled defense couldn't hold, but somehow had the team in the running at the end until Romo, yes, that guy, shit the bed.

Sign same bed shitter to incredible contract. Piss off the defensive guys who played their butts off.

Give old man you hired to run the defense next to nothing, but it is okay because he doesn't seem to mind all that much.

Draft nothing but more "weapons" for bed shitter that Sooper Genius will take half the year to figure out how to use.

We change what we do each and every year. And the draft is a mirror image of it.

Our thing this year is to ourscore people with our vaunted New England copycat offense that we thought about a few years ago.

It's gonna be bad, kiddos.

I don't know about that Booze. Jerry wants the Patriots offense, the Seahawks defense and Romo to be more like P. Manning. That sounds like a Super Bowl to me. Why in the hell can't they be the Dallas Cowboys and play their own brand of football?

If Jones was going to compy some team... why not the 49ers, particularly with their OL?

Exactly right. Jerry scapegoated everyone he could.

No running game? It's not that the O line sucks, it's the RB coach who is holding us back. Let's fire him.

Defense sucked with random JAGS signed off the street? It's not the GM does a horrible job of providing roster depth, it's Ryan's fault. He's always screaming and so animated, let's hire the least animated coach possible in 70-year old Monte Kiffin.

Garrett can't manage a game? Let's fire his brother and then talk about a new play caller but in reality keep the status quo since Jerry designated Garrett as the next Tom Landry.

Even this off-season. He made a huge salary investment in Romo, got a ton of heat for it, and then came out of left field with how Romo can't play golf anymore.

Since the day he chased Jimmy out, Jerry has been, is, and will be the problem.

But hey, Jason Witten's new back-up is the shit.

To be fair to Jerry, as much as I hate doing it... he gave Ryan two CBs, that he needed to be more physical with WRs, and so Jerry pay $50 million for one, and moved up in the draft for another, and Ryan had them doing the Campo Cushion. Then of all the stories of how Ryan would miss meetings and leave Eberfuls and Henderson to run the defensive meetings.

Really? I hadn't heard this. Not doubting but curious.
