Who was blaming playcalling? I was talking about the overall execution of the offense. That goes from evaluating your personnel to teaching during the week to game planning.

And like I said, the O line then was hardly 92-93 quality. Flo was okay, Free is at RT just like now, our Gs now should be as good as Kosar (similar inexpensive FA profile) and Davis who was awful the next year and got released. That O line may have been better, but I don't think it's the difference between a pretty good offense to one of the worst in the league.

Wasn't even blaming Garrett, necessarily, just asking the question. I mean, he's the same guy now as he was then, and our O was pretty good then.

Most likely we're just playing way below our potential right now and we'll revert to the mean a bit and play much better. Still, it's almost shocking to see the difference between then and now.

TE, I'm surprised how you seem to undervalue the importance of the OL.

Kosier was a good player, by the way, even if he came cheap. The takeaway message re: Kosier isn't that cheap players are always good enough. The takeaway message is that you need good players. The Cowboys don't have enough of them on the OL now.

And that's unfortunate, given that Murray should now be in his prime and Romo is nearing the end of his.
