Update post #15: McBriar an Eagle

Jones was fine last year.

Mcbriar was tremendous for years.

The skins signed the eagles punter last year now the eagles signed the cowboys punter this year.

It does suck, another one if the guys.

At one point there was a tight knit group of guys in romo, witten, kosier, fasano, mcbriar, carpenter, bradie, Newman, columbo who hung out and were buddies off the field...that camaraderie was a part if winning because the locker room was good. 06 and 07

I hope there is something like that now, those kinds of things are hard to build again and it's hard to win without that element in team sports.

he was fine as always outside of that....

hopefully a good defense will get us more possesions this year and a good line will allow us to cross the 40 and score more....

this way we wont need a tremendous punter..

I know this though, if mcbriar is healthy, the eagles and skins have excellent punters to go with good defenses which can make a big difference in close games.

He had only 10% of his punts as a touchback and other teams averaged only 0.3 yds per return against him. 4 of his 10 kicks were downed inside the 20.

Im listening to talking cowboys with mickey and bryan and they are going to explain why mcbriar signed in philly.

also bryan just threw out there that he knows other teams have an interest in some of the guys here and there is a good chance there could be a player for player trades made at some point during the preseason.

mickey says he looked better than expected but the eagles offered more money.

in philly he is the starter, in dallas he had to beat out jones.

dallas offered him a 150k signing bonus and 150k roster bonus and his salary would have been 800k
