I get the points he is making but it is not particularly interesting. What we need is for congress to act to fix this ridiculous policy once and for all. Ann Coulter probably did the best job of explaining why birthright citizenship, which was actually a policy established by a judge and not congress, is BS. Even using US law it is easy to see that modern birthright citizenship was never the intention of congress. For example, Native Americans were not granted birthright citizenship in until 1924, long after the 14th amendment was ratified by the states. The Indian Citizenship Act was not passed until 1924 and still did not grant Indians the right to vote. How could this be if the 14th amendment was intended to give everyone born on American soil citizenship?

Congress should resolve this with a simple bill stating that only the children of people in this country legally and permanently are granted birthright citizenship. End the calamity that is our immigration system.
