Just watched the first quarter of the miami game. Cook played 1 series and his snaps were all over the place. They replaced him with a black dude the next series.

might have wanted to make sure we got him...if the deal is true, it satisfies one of my predictions, that we'd acquire a veteran G/C to be one of the active backup guys on gameday. Arkin will either be inactive or be a somewhat surprising cut.

he started two yrs at RT for Minnesota, and has backed up at G/C &T since then.

not sure it matters, but he played all those years in Brad Childress and Darell Bevell's offense and might be familiar with bill callahans style of play upfront since it is similar...

different offense though so I am not sure it matters.

Broaddus is saying he looked solid in the 3 preseason games he studied on him..

Guy is our #7 OL..it's a numbers game move.

he's a veteran who can fill in at 3 or 4 OL positons, and has starting experience

nice guy for backup OL swing guy on game day...getting him probably means either Dockery or Arkin might be released too, freeing up another spot
