yep. No doubt about it.

I always read good things about him. I read good things about will mcclay also.

How would any of us know if jerry, stephen and garrett are higher up the ladder or whatever.

and how does chris hall the college scouting director who has had that job for like 15 years play into it?
Fact of the matter is the buck stops with the man at the top. If that person is successful, those people below him keep their jobs. If he sucks, USUALLY that person loses his job and those underneath him. I think all we can say is Jerry sucks as a GM, anything else we are uninformed on.

I gotta say ... I find it impossible to judge Ciskowski.

In truth, we don't really know what he does nor what he advocates. Although we can see and assess draft day picks and free agent signings, we really don't know Ciskowski's personal opinions and input on each of these decisions (as well as on other players who the Cowboys ultimately didn't pick or sign.)

He could be an Einstein who Jerry too often ignores or he could be mediocre.

Who knows?

Best we can hope for is that Jerry keeps overstepping his bounds and canceling out Cikowski's suggestions, and thinks, "damnit, when am I going to stop doing this? Cikowski is hitting on nearly every pick! but I override him all the time".

That'd be the best scenario by far. Ciskowski as genius.

Almost certainly too good to be true. Similar to the Red Jesus fantasy (second coming of Landry).

I owe everything to Jimmy Johnson. He hired me three times at Oklahoma State, Miami and the Dallas Cowboys. If it wasn’t for Jimmy Johnson, I don’t know what I’d be doing today.

I will say that Jimmy is pretty loyal to his guys though. He's recommended Butch recently for the Arkansas job I believe.
