** David Buehler made three of four attempts, hitting the right upright from 39 yards. His makes were from 32, 46 and 48 yards.

** Tight end Martellus Bennett went through "pat and go" for the first time in training camp, which means he should be back soon. He has also spent time catching passes on the side as he recovers from the sprained ankle.

** Jay Ratliff's quickness gave Leonard Davis some trouble on their first snap in pass rush drills. On the second time through Davis was able to get his hands on the Pro Bowl nose tackle and slow him some.

** For the first time in camp the offensive and defensive line worked on twists and stunts. Kyle Kosier lunged at Stephen Bowen , who was paired up with DeMarcus Ware, and got caught out of position once. Robert Brewster did a nice job of handling Ratliff's punch on one snap.

** Creating turnovers was a big part of Wade Phillips press conference and the defense came up with three interceptions and a fumble recovery during practice. Jamar Wall and Mike Jenkins had the picks, while Orlando Scandrick forced a fumble that Barry Church recovered.

** Jenkins suffered a cut lip on his interception, which came on a Jon Kitna out-route to Dez Bryant , and had to rinse his mouth a few times after the pick. Wall's interception came after he undercut a throw to Patrick Crayton in the slot.

** Three DeMarcus Ware notes: he snuffed out a reverse to Patrick Crayton by not getting sucked down inside on the original run and had a would-be sack of Matt Nichols after blowing by Will Barker off the edge. He also contained Felix Jones on a running play

** In the four sets of either seven on seven or team drills with the first-team offense, Miles Austin had at least one catch. The first two in seven on seven came on a corner route and a quick throw in the slot. The last two in team came on a deep crossing route in which a blitz was picked up and the last was on a Tony Romo waggle.

** Prettiest catch of the day went to Kevin Ogletree, but he may have been out of bounds when he came down with the Kitna throw. It was a nice job of using the sideline to his advantage by Scandrick.

** Undrafted wide receiver Terrell Hudgins made a couple of nice catches, including a toe-tapper along the sideline from Stephen McGee.

** Wade Phillips said the afternoon focus would be on the passing game. He was right. Here's the run/pass breakdown of the plays during team: 21 passes, eight runs.
