Haley never would have pulled the shit Parsons did with Jimmy.
Then why did Jimmy drag him into a bathroom stall to tell him his career was going down the crapper? Clearly he was pulling some shit even when Jimmy was there.

Amazing combo of turd references in such a short post!

This was pointed out by some others as well, they actually agreed to trade terms Tuesday.

This almost assuredly means that after that bullshit last Friday night, they got together in the building there and decided it was time to rid themselves of Parsons. They probably started making and fielding calls over the weekend before settling on the Packers deal. During the whole thing Schottenheimer chose his words very carefully but he is also a pretty old school guy (like his father was). What Parsons did had to make his blood boil.

I would LOVE to know what some of the other teams were willing to offer. Yes, Parsons had some leverage because he had his "preferred" teams to go to and would have to sign a new deal for any team to trade for him. But ultimately it would be interesting to see what other teams were willing to pony up. What we got seems pretty low to almost everyone and we traded him to a real NFC Contender (on top of them being a major rival of ours really since 1993). Maybe teams were not as enamored with getting him as most believed and between the money they had to pay plus the picks, maybe there just wasn't THAT much of a market for him afet rall.

Jerry's idiotic insistence on getting a viable DT in the deal (why?) almost certainly made the pool of interested teams even smaller. Clark won't be here by the time this team contends again.

This is what Jane Slater and Ike Stanback are saying this morning on GMFB along with their knowledge of issues in the locker room and in meetings over the years. It ain't the one thing. It's a small tumor that grew into a cancer and had to be cut out.

I think you might be referring to the Denver game in 1992, Jimmy supposedly ripped into Haley at HT and told him he'd cut him and if he did nobody would sign him after..classic Jimmy stuff

I kind of doubt Jimmy was ever REALLY going to cut Haley. Jimmy knew how to motivate people and what buttons to push. Or maybe Haley was testing Jimmy because he did get away with stuff in SF under Walsh and Seifert (two guys who were definitely not hard asses) and if so, he FAFO

FWST:

Since Jerry bought the Dallas Cowboys, he has repeatedly proven he will take on, and pay, in-their-prime talent no matter the headache, transgression, or cost. Hardy. Charles Haley. Michael Irvin. Randy Gregory. Terrell Owens. Josh Brent. Pacman Jones. Alonzo Spellman. Dimitrius Underwood.

If Attila the Hun could rush the quarterback, and “be there on Sundays,” Jerry will not only put up with Mr. Hun, but sign him to a five-year extension.

Those guys did stuff way worse than nonchalantly eating nachos.

Malik Hooker is one of the guys who spoke out in the past about Parsons. There may have been some others.

I bet if they were all completely honest and knew comments would never be shared publicly, there's actually a pretty decent number of players (and coaches) that would admit they are glad to be rid of him.

No dragging, the way Jimmy tells it.

Just a reminder. This NFL Top-100 list was JUST released in the last few weeks.

Parsons was rated in the 30's here. (36 to be exact) This was a ranking done by current PLAYERS only.

The ranking was surprisingly low to almost everyone who saw it. So either players genuinely dislike the guy, or maybe they don't believe he is quite as good as the media and most fans have wanted to believe.

And it's probably both.

I didn't remember the ones Dooms just showed us. I just remember the one from the Denver game in 1992. They said Jimmy went on a tirade at HT (I think we were winning but barely) and went ballistic on Haley

He will be 30 in October but is going into his 10th season.
He wasnt good last yr but they said he played all yr with a foot injury or something.

He was in the probowl as recently as 2023 and had a career high in sacks that yr (7 1/2). He also tied his career high for TFL's and had a career high in QB hits. He's also played in every game for the last 4 seasons.

Hopefully he's healthy. I think he can help.
