I enjoyed this analysis the most:
I'm sorry, but these jackasses all remind of watching CNN or MSNBC where they completely make up shit off the top of their head.
Schefter says "as one GM told me, this was Jerry's modern version of the Walker trade."
I'm calling BULLSHIT.
It's far more believable to me that Jerry had concerns about Micah's back, about his attitude, about his leadership. And in Jerry's eyes, Micah went back on his word. I think Jerry is an old-timer and in his eyes there is nothing worse than going back on your word. I think he lives by "your word is your bond".
Put it all together and trading Micah starts to look better and better considering we should still be able to have a pass rush regardless.
These people reflexively always defend the players' side, but there comes a point when you just can't give in to demands. Micah says he had no demands. Who the heck believes that? How is it that he didn't accept 202 million if he had no demands?
I'd agree that Jerry might of thought it was a Walker-light trade. In today's NFL, you're just not going to get an Eric Dickerson or Walker trade anymore. All teams now value draft picks and they aren't going to part with them just because.
