You might be willing to bet that the Cowboys won't sign newly released wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. But are you willing to put money on it?

Because Bovada.lv, a well-known sports gambling website, has handicapped the race to sign Ochocinco and pegged the Cowboys as the second-most likely landing spot.

Dallas' 4/1 odds are behind only the Miami Dolphins, who are 3/1 favorites to sign Ochocinco. The Jacksonville Jaguars and St. Louis Rams (both 11/2 odds) and the Philadelphia Eagles (13/2 odds) round out the top five, although Bovada thinks it's more likely that Ochocinco won't even be on a roster by opening day (5/1 odds) than sign with one of three aforementioned squads.

There's no evidence of the Cowboys having any interest in Ochocinco, a 12-year veteran who made just 15 catches for 276 yards last year with New England. But the team's need for a No. 3 receiver coupled with Jerry Jones' history of embracing flamboyant personalities has many thinking the sides could have mutual interest.

That is, of course, if the Dolphins, the team that Ochocinco himself reportedly wants to play for, doesn't get there first.

If he couldn't put up numbers in New England I wouldn't expect him to be able to do it anywhere else. Let him follow T.O. down the road to being fired by an Arena League team lol

5 Years ago? Hell yeah. Now? I'd rather just shoot everyone on the team than to allow them to be infected with another diva cancer.

I remember a story last season where the reason he wasn't featured in the Patriots offense more was that he couldn't get it mentally. Maybe he could come here and mentor Dez.

I'm just ready for him to wear that hall of fame jacket on the sidelines again.

I signed him to my fantasy team last year late in the year. He was supposed to be a steal.

Turns out he wasn't.

As far as Miami signing him... the Dolphins are quickly becoming one of the worst run franchises in the NFL.

And it started in 2008.
