2 preseason games
17 regular season games
Every team plays 1 neutral site probably international game in London, Mexico, Canada etc. with a bye week the following week
2 bye weeks

It's a joke to have coaches avoid Presrason OT bc it's already too long

Personally i like everything the way it is. Yea the preseason is long but you need to have enough games where young guys can develop while getting the vets ready for the season. I don’t like the idea of playing more than 16 games, season already feels too long. At least to me, it wears on me because i invest so much time into it. I also don’t think it’s fair to charge full price for preseason games. Two bye weeks is also rough. I hate bye weeks, it fucks up the flow of the season.

I too think the preseason should be reduced to two games and I like the 17th game (as opposed to 18 game common suggestion) idea.

The NFL should develop a Spring league to get young players and young coaches more opportunities and time to develop. It would help shorten the giant gap of no football we currently have. Teams could be in the larger markets that don't currently have NFL teams(Los Angeles, Portland, Albuquerque, Mobile, Bristol, Washington DC, Memphis, etc).

I rather see them cut out a few preseason games but don't jack with regular season games.

Emmitt's record is at stake.

No change.

16 games is enough. Shorten the preseason if you want. Leave the regular season alone.

Fuck Emmitt and his record.

As a Cowboy fan, 16 games of shitty, sucky, retarded football is enough.

MB4's 17th neutral international game (does the math work)is a good idea to me. Much better than putting a team in London.

At least Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and whatever city they suggested in Mexico, are close to other NFL teams. That road trip to London will suck for teams.

Oh sure, give Toronto a game and then Regina will demand one too.

Yea we still have 21 weeks essentially.
4-16-1 bye
2-17-2 byes

Start the International Games week 2-17. Or double up a few weeks in the middle there if you feel that's too late to have a bye week.

It satisfies everything except everlastings need for the vet players to get some reps in :nsis

Preseason is like foreplay. I know you guys just want to stick it in there and go, but the gradual buildup helps get the players ready to play at a high level on opening day. So you play only 2 preseason games, then coaches will rest the vets on the second game in fear of having to replace injured players days before opening day. So now they have 1 game to get ready.

Some of you guys are too young to remember when teams were actually ready to play in Week 1 of the regular season.

Shorten the preseason and you shorten teams' readiness.

Lengthen the regular season and you lessen the meaning and impact of each individual game.

Yes. Exactly. Coaches know more than us. Preseason is cat shit and rest is way more important than "reps"
