Seriously though. I got raped. I claimed 2 and I ended up owing the state of Maryland 550 dollars, my federal went down to 88. Thank goodness I could put down my union dues and charitable donations as tax deductions. Lowered what I owed to the state to 288.

Now I have to use my federal return to bring what I owe ultimately down to 200. Sucks.

When I changed companies the end of last year, I claimed just the single exemption.

Either way the governments rape you. I only take home about 65% of what I make every week.
