RIP. He cut out his own schtick and while I don't know if I was on board with it, there's no denying his impact in the industry.

sad he's gone, but he and his cohorts ushered in the era of anchors being characters or personalities with trademark catchphrases and schtick, not journalists.

I actually think Berman and his ridiculous routine preceded Scott's. Scott just ghetto'ed the whole sports reporting gig.

I hate Berman and Tom Jackson way more than I hated Stu.

Lol I'd say he more adjusted it for the younger generation rather than ghetto'd. But I get what you mean.

He made the boring highlights entertaining, IMO. Was a figure head for ESPN. RIP.
