Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has all of the skills to be a No. 1 wide receiver but hasn't produced. Miles Austin has produced like a No. 1 receiver but was hobbled last year with hamstring issues.

But according to Cowboys Vice-President Stephen Jones, it's clear who should be the team's top receiver.

"I think (Bryant) needs to be a No. 1 receiver," Jones told KESN-FM in Dallas this week via Dallascowboys.com. "Not to take anything away from Miles, but I would submit to you that when we line up out there that the guy that they're most worried about is Dez.

"And he's got to be that guy, and even when they do try to stop him, the great ones still make a lot of plays. Tony (Romo) has got to be able to count on him, he's got to run the right routes at the right depths and be a precise route runner. Those are things he's got to improve on."

Maybe if we call him out through the media, he'll get it. . .

Right, Dad?

I think if he stays healthy this yr, he'll make the probowl and put up some pretty big numbers.

He's so beastly, he could be a 100+ catch, 1,500+, 10-15td guy if he wanted to.

He just has to commit himself 100% to learning his position like other greats have.

It's his choice.

My opinion of the guy so far is really low. When I see a player with so much potential/ability, it frustrates me to no end to see him not realize it. Even moreso when he plays on a team I root for. He could be so much more than he's been so far.

Agreed. And he could make so much more money if he would apply himself.

Dez doubled production last year. If he doubled again this year he'd have. 1856 yards and 18 touch downs which would be insane and who has ever done that?

Face it, the kid missed a game and was hurt a few others. He could and should have had at least 4 more touch downs and 200 more yards, puting him at 1128-1200 and 14 touch downs which is where everyone wants him to be. So just let the man play how he was playing last year and be in better shape and he should assplode all over your screens.
