It’s time to add another name to the list of prospective Redskins head coaches.

John Clayton of ESPN reports, via colleague Adam Schefter, that the team will interview Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia on Friday for the job opening created by Mike Shanahan’s firing on Monday.

Bisaccia just completed his first year with the Cowboys and came to Dallas after spending two years in San Diego. Before that he had a long run as the special teams coach and, eventually, assistant head coach with the Buccaneers. Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen also worked for the Buccaneers during that period, so Bisaccia’s a familiar face to the man who declared himself in control of the organization this week. Bisaccia has no head coaching experience.

Bisaccia joins Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell and Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell as reported candidates for the job. Allen said Thursday that the team has had no contact with former Steelers coach Bill Cowher regarding the position.

Good for him, he's one of the few coaches we've had the last few years that has really done a great job. ST improved dramatically under him.
