Kinda interesting to see the praise (well deserved so far) for Linehan, not just here but basically every Cowboy forum.

The hire was questioned and complained about by the vast majority, and many said it was crazy to hire Linehan because he was pass happy and wouldn't run the ball enough (basically because of what happened in Detroit).

So far I think he's done a tremendous job staying balanced offensively (even when we got behind against SF and STL he stuck with calling runs) and he's also done a great job with formations and use of play action.

Interesting stat I bet most wouldn't believe. The 2014 Cowboys so far are averaging more rush attempts per game than the 1992 Super Bowl champ Cowboys. This year we are averaging 32.5 attempts per game, vs 31.25 for the 1992 Cowboys. Emmitt through 4 games that yr (we were also 3-1) had 95 carries, 408 yds, 3 tds and averaged 4.3 yds per carry. two of the four games were 100+ yd games for Emmitt. Murray has 534 yds on 99 carries and 5 tds, 5.4 yds per carry.

Emmitt's best season (and best first 4 games of a season) was 1995, he had 543 yds (all 4 games were 100+ like Murray) on 88 carries (6.2 per rush) and 9 tds. That season Emmitt set career highs for rush attempts, yds rushing and tds, he also had a career high for receptions (62)
