No matter his legacy or what we think of him, he was really good at a lot of things. So let's say nice stuff about him here.

In my life I can't think of anyone better at eluding would-be sackers than Romo. Present day or back in the day.

Big Zero

And gets a little extra hate from me because other than Aikman, nobody ever had more pull with Jerry and Romo did nothing about the loser Red Headed Dipshit HC. Instead he joyfully re-upped on a new contract instead of insisting Jones do something first.

Spiro Agnew reference. :oldman

Romo was tough (played with broken ribs). And he was adept at chasing down shotgun snaps over his head.

How many Division Titles/Playoff wins did the other, what, seven/eight QBs have after Aikman & before Romo? Funny how those QBs never get mentioned, nor belittled, not one, as Romo does. Just saying.

Yeah. How many of them spent the bye week after getting the 1 seed, in Cabo then getting owned by the Giants? How many of them said "losing isn't the worst thing in life?"

He didn't give a shit either way.

Just not a "winner" and somehow he "one of the guysed" his way to people making excuse after excuse for balls thrown into double or triple coverages, taking trips to Cabo days before the most important game of his career, saying he basically didnt care about 44-6 loss where he played like complete dogshit, happily signed a mega contract extension and using none of the leverage he had with Jones to force him to shitcan Red Headed Goober etc etc etc

He made a nice career for himself. At times he made wow plays. There were some games it seemed he couldn't miss.

But he was not and never will be considered in the same class as Staubach or Aikman, nor was he ever close.

No sh@t sherlock. That wasn't my point. We'll never see those glory days again in OUR lifetime. We could argue endlessly on this topic, everyone has their own opinion, therefore, there aren't any rights nor wrongs.

Why some try comparing QBs is a mind boggling. Different times/squads/coaches. Neither of the mentioned QB's would have the same accomplishments they had in their careers in todays NFL. Nor would they have lasted as long as they did.

Romo would have killed it w/that squad Aikman had. And, he's better than Prescott will ever be & any other QBs there after. As far as the trip to Cabo, had he won that game, it wouldn't be relived over & over.

Aikman's 5 picks vs Gnats was his most in his career & tied the most in Cowboys 41- year history. But that's not remembered because of his championships. ALL QB'S have bad games. Aside from all three QBs, Romo was the best looking! 😜

Its not remembered because every one of us who watched him from day one know that in 2000 he was basically crippled physically.

I couldnt care less what happened that yr with a bozo coach and very limited talent around him...the season was essentially over when Joey Galloway (who we spent two 1sts to get) blew out his knee in game one.
