Sticking with this but I am really thinking we trade down:
st- Sylvester Williams DT North Carolina: Gotta start planning for the day when Hatcher and Ratliff are not here (which is after this yr IMO) and Ratliff has shown the past 2+ seasons that he cant stay healthy anyway. Would love Richardson, but I think he'll be gone and Williams is a nice fall back. Williams could possibly start from day one, and maybe they save Ratliff some wear and tear by using him in more of a rotational role rather than get beat up so much on run downs.
nd- Justin Hunter WR Tennessee: This is the one sorta surprise that wouldn't shock me, as I think they are already thinking about life without Miles Austin, on top of the rumors after this past season that they might release him then. They also brought in several 1st/2nd rd rated prospects at WR for visits. They didn't bring Hunter to my knowledge, but with Derrick Dooley on staff here we didn't need to. Hunter is a 1st rd talent and may not even be there for us, but if he is I love his game. Great size and speed, great run after catch skills. Could form a nearly unstoppable 1-2 duo with Dez Bryant for years to come. His addition might relegate Austin to the 3rd/slot WR role sooner rather than later, which might be his best role now. Hunteer provides some downfield speed we lack on offense currently too.
rd- Barrett Jones C/G Alabama: Kinda hoping the injury causes him to keep dropping. Jerruh mentioned adding an interior OL who could play C&G was a priority, and Jones when healthy fits that. Once healthy, he could probably win the starting C job easily. Great leadership skills, extremely bright and has extensive position flexibility, having already started (and been highly decorated) at 3 different OL positions (C, G & LT)
th- TJ McDonald FS/SS USC: Supposedly Kiffin loves McDonald, and McDonald already has extensive experience playing safety in Kiffin's cover-2 scheme. Might not last till our pick in the 4th after reportedly solid workouts after the combine.
th- Cornelius Washington DE Georgia: Developmental DE/pass rusher who can play behind Ware/Spencer this yr, and potentially take over for Spencer after this season if they choose not to sign him longterm.
th- Kniles Davis RB Arkansas: Should be 100% now after struggling to recover this past season from his injury two years ago. Good size, explosive speed. A guy who can carry the ball 20+ times if needed.
